In November of 2022, God gave me the opportunity to go on my first mission trip. This trip has been a blessing for me. God started working in me, showing me what I can be when I walk by Faith. April is the month of being restored for sure. As I open my notebook, to write this devotional, the April page says this;
“ Just when the caterpillar thought her life was over, she began to fly. ”
My past has been rough, my walk with God has not always been Completely Christian, if you know what I mean. I do not always read my bible, or pray, especially not when my day has been so busy, that all I want to do is sleep. A lot of times, I shield myself in a cocoon like the caterpillar does. God has been speaking to me in incredibly special ways, in ways I can understand, since that mission trip.
Job 8:5-6 says, “but if you seek God earnestly and plead with the Almighty, if you are pure and upright, even now he will rouse himself and restore you to your prosperous state”.
I could not understand how he could use me, coming from a background such as mine, believing the enemy, that God was the one that allowed all the pain and suffering. I thought my life was over, I was living to live. Walking day by day. Even though I have been calling myself Christian. November was a time of Restoration. The caterpillar that was always shielding herself is beginning to fly. When she thought her life was over. She is believing in God, trusting and now she is all in. Invested in what God has for her.
